PIX Power Wrap Belts are the first of the V-Belts to enter the power transmission scenario. The continued effort of the R&D of PIX has enabled to achieve the power ratings considerably higher than most of the available brands in the market. The compound used to build up these belts are well chosen to match the stipulated power ratings, thus offering distinct advantages regarding the increased factor of safety on critical drives.

PIX Power Wrap belts are available in three main categories i.e. Classical, Wedge & Narrow.

Classical :
Top width to height ratio is 1.6:1
Max. Permissible belt speed is 30 m/sec.
permissible flex rate is around F = 80 per sec.

Wedge :
Top width to height ratio is 1.2:1
Max. Permissible belt speed is 42 m/sec.
permissible flex rate is around F =100 per sec.

Narrow :
Max. Permissible belt speed is 30 m/sec.
permissible flex rate is around F = 80 per sec.

Special Belts :
PIX Fire Resistant Antistatic V-Belts (Marked FRAS) under certain conditions of temperature and humidity a V-Belt may generate a significant amount of static electricity. PIX V-Belts have normal fire resistance and anti static properties. These properties are in accordance with requirements of BS-3790 and international standard. for extreme cases PIX produce FRAS belts, these belts have special fire resistant and antistatic properties. These belts are used in an inflammable atmosphere where the fire hazard risk is high. PIX FRAS belts have been approved by RJB Mining (British Coal Board) and are also ATEX certified
