TO PROVIDE HYDRAULICS CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

New hydraulics distribution centre opened

As part of a process to drive forward their hose and fittings programme, PIX Europe has expanded its warehouse and office facilities, at their head office in Ipswich, and centralised the hose and fittings sales, marketing and warehousing operation for the whole of Europe.

The move has linked the hydraulics side of the business – PIX Flexequip - alongside the Company’s highly successful Power Transmission division in one building. As well as expanding office space by a third over the coming months, they will be adding up to 5 new members of staff to the hydraulics team, providing distributors with a nationwide service, and unparalleled expertise in hose and fittings. The warehouse capacity is also being expanded, and is in the process of being converted to narrow isle, high density, picking.

The PIX Flexequip operation, near Cardiff will concentrate on hose assembly, and special products, and the loose hose and fitting distribution will all be serviced from Ipswich.

The centralisation of the mainland UK distribution operation will hugely strengthen PIX’s service and product offering to all its customers, whilst offering significant opportunities to improve efficiency, and maximise use of resources.
